A ver si entiendo, esto del RSS es un simple archivo ".xml" en un determinado formato para que pueda ser leído por los lectores de RSS

Y cada vez que se actualice ese archivo ".xml" se actualiza automáticamente en los lectores de RSS de quien se ha suscrito

¿si? ¿no? ¿maomeno?

Exacto, tu actualizas tu RSS y el lector lo revisa periódicamente para ver que hay de nuevo. Así uno evita estar visitando los sitios a diario.
